Tea is Always the Answer
When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is turn my silver chevron (in other words, ADORABLE) electric kettle on and brew a cup of tea for the day. I am a firm believer that tea is a resolution to a lot of things or at least a soother for any difficult day. There have been so many times I have made myself a cup because I didn’t feel good or offered one to someone who said they weren’t feeling great. It always seems to warm my heart to have a cup of happiness brewing.
The saddest thing in the world is an unfinished cup of a tea, sitting lonely on the table. Or when I’ve accidentally abandoned one on the kitchen counter and realize it as I sit down in class. I have literally cried from the loss of a cup of tea, you can ask any of my friends.
The best rainy day feeling, much like the one I am dealing with today, is the one where you curl up in a chair with a cup of tea and a book. I can escape from the sad, crying sky with adventures I experience alongside the characters in a book and warm my hands with a mug of my favorite tea.
My love of tea is one of the things that brings together friends and family. Sarah and I started our podcast while talking over cups of afternoon tea. When I am home, one of my favorite things is sitting in the living room, the sunshine streaming in, with my mom, and drinking tea. So many of my memories have a kind of tea associated with them.
For me, tea is always the answer. Enjoy a cup on this rainy day or whatever makes YOU happy. I hope you have a lovely weekend!
